Conventions

Man, I love going to conventions... You know between work and play and family and... I'm sure you get the picture. It's just nice to every once in a while settle in with some friends (that I may have just met) and "Kill People and Break Things" in miniature.

Anyway, when I attend a convention, I try to put on a game there if I've had time to put together a decent scenario. Up until a few months ago, I've concentrated on running WWII micro-armor games when I go to conventions, but now I've learned the rules listed on my Demo Games page well enough that I'll happily throw my hat into the ring to demo any of those rules to interested parties.

While it would be great if I had the means and time to make every gaming convention I ever hear about,
I just can't do that. So if you know of a convention that I could drive to to either make it a weekend
trip or even a day-trip, tell me about it and I'll see if I can make it. I consider my driving "range" to be about 2.5 hours or so from Grand Rapids, MI
or Toledo, OH.

Oh, and if you're in the West Michigan area and would like to play any of the games on my Demos Page, again,
contact me and we'll work something out. I guess you could say I do "house calls". If you are gracious enough to
invite me, the least I can do is run a game for you and your gaming group.
What do I get out of it? Well, I get a chance to sell stuff to people who want it. At conventions I would either set
up a vendor table or sell from the event table if that's permitted by the Con's organizers. Of course, at a smaller, private
that I've been invited to, it wouldn't seem appropriate to me to sell products in someone's home or local store so
I can just give business cards to whom-ever's interested or other arrangements can be made. Who knows, you might
want me to sell stuff. Hey, if Tupperware can have parties...

Yes, I want to make money at the business thing that I'm having a go at, but I've been demoing games and
enjoying it before I started the business, so the opportunity to sell and the profit that would go with it
is just icing on the cake. Even if FM2 fails miserably, I'll still be out there demoing the games I enjoy.
